Time and time again, Laura has seen how design can be used to create positive change at all levels of society and across all contexts. Having lived and worked in both developed and developing countries, she is passionate about working collaboratively to help improve the lives of people by tackling challenges using both top-down and bottom-up approaches.
With a background in strategy, marketing and design, Laura has experience as an in-house changemaker. She has also helped to design change as a consultant.
Laura is a natural relationship builder, with the ability to rapidly grasp both a macro and micro understanding of the challenge at hand. She excels at making the complex simple and telling stories that help clients put themselves in other people’s shoes.
Prior to ThinkPlace, Laura worked in a not-for-profit organisation where she helped create a culture of innovation and design a new product offering. She developed a compelling future vision for the organisation that met user needs, but was also possible and viable to deliver.
More recently, Laura worked with a regulatory agency to help reframe the way they think about their users and develop a new service experience based rich research insights and personas.
Laura holds bachelor degrees in psychology, marketing and international business.
